That V Word
Finally, Our Dear Leader has used the four letter V word.
Tony Blair threatened last night to veto a deal over the European Union budget unless Jacques Chirac leaves the door open to early reform of the Common Agricultural Policy. To which the Gallic Reply was of course:
Mr Chirac raised the temperature by demanding that Britain should make further concessions over its £3.5 billion annual budget rebate. When it comes to fighting, unless you are willing to be nastier and dirtier than your opponent, don't bother trying. Having sounded tough, whats the odds on TB folding and hoping we don't notice.
