We Pay for Belgian Uncompetitiveness?

Belgian workers lose their jobs, due to the worthless Belgian version of the "Social Market". Next, we are asked to pay.

The European Commission has said the Belgian authorities cannot make use of the EU's new "globalisation fund" to help around 4,000 workers set to be fired due to Volkswagen's restructuring plans - but has suggested Belgium to use other available EU funds.
Why don't we suggest instead to the Belgians that they give up on job destroying socialism. It would save our cash as well as being more effective.

We and the Germans are net contributors to the EU. France alone takes 60% of the CAP...that equates to 40% of the EU budget going to Fench farmers (or thereabouts) ....maybe the Belgians aren't as expensive as they seem eh? Though far too expensive anyways.

Where I live there are hoardings and have been for years proclaiming that the EU has provided finance for this and that project (Wales)...and Rhodri the wanker Morgan says in the Welsh Assembly how great the EU is to provide funding..hold on, we contribute more than they give, so why should we be grateful?

We need to sort out the big problems and not the little ones. Let's start by scrapping CAP altogether...fuck weaning the French fuckers off it for the next 20 years! British farmers aren't even getting any because of this Governments fuck-ups!

Look on the bright side, at least we aren't in the yooro. Wait till next time one of the ropier southern or eastern memebers so mismanages its economy that the Euro is threatened. The central bank will then raid the economies of the prosperous countries to prop it up. Then you'll have Ireland and H9lland paying to bail out Bulgaria or Greece, and they will NOT like that.

Shotgun,

An article in The Independent "How the CAP helps our poorest farmers", pointed out that The Queen gained £545,897 from agricultural subsidies last year, the Duke of Westminister £448,472, the Duke of Bedford £365,801, the Prince of Wales £225,465 and the Duke of Northumberland £450,740.

Aren't you glad that you are able to support the already privilegeds via your taxes and the EU?

You've managed to list a little over 2.5 million out of a total of billions upon billions....

Try harder, and yes, why shouldn't they claim the benefit? What do you want? Gove the money to some french fucker instead?
