British Bad Guys

Like a stereotypical Hollywood movies, the EU always casts the British as bad guy.
European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso said that Britain must give up its budget rebate in order for the bloc to reach an agreement on its 2007-2013 spending plans. Britain benefits from a "rebate is not justified at the current time" and should accept its "modernization".
Let’s not mention that the entire system is unfair, lets blame the UK. A sensible approach to spending plans could easily see the end of the rebate. Link it to CAP reform and Our Dear Leader could easily sell it to the electorate.
"We are not going to renegotiate a compromise" on farm subsidies until Blair indicates that Britain is willing to put the rebate on the table.
Says El Presidente who has obviously not been listening to any of the debate over the past six months.
