More Isms

Now that we have firmly ensconced all manner of anti discrimination laws into the area of employment, all that is left is to expand year on year, the number of people that these laws impact. You see, in the end, the state will be able to tell employers whom they should employ. Unfortunately at this rate there will be no employers left. There will be so many Isms that all employers will be guilty of at least some of them.
Age discrimination remains widespread among employers, raising doubts over their ability to cope with European Union rules due to be introduced next year.
As usual, at the head of the charge is the EU. It seems just yesterday that they wanted all middle age people to retire, leaving their jobs for youngsters. I wish they would make their minds up.
