Bang goes our Chance

Our Dear Leader has always respected the will of the people, and has a long history of standing up for our basic rights. No sorry I was thinking of someone else. This is more his style:

British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw is expected to postpone a referendum on the new European Union, following a rejection by voters in France and the Netherlands.

By postpone we mean cancel. The 30 year period of no national debate on our future with respect to the EU continues.
