The French Resistance

Although much can happen in 7 weeks, French Resistance to the constitution seems to be hardening.

Three new opinion polls published Tuesday indicate that a majority of French voters plan to reject the European Constitution in a referendum next month, dealing a fresh blow to President Jacques Chirac and the increasingly embattled looking government.

Things are going pear shaped (or perhaps curved banana shaped) in France. Maybe we will not get our chance to stick our two fingers up to the project after all.
