Vaclav Klaus, a man who understands a thing or two about the concept of freedom, wants the people of Czechia to have a say in their future.

Czech President Vaclav Klaus has called for a referendum in his country on the EU constitution, which he opposes.

With all the problems the treaty is going through in France, has this man no shame. Even more controversially, he believes in freedom of speech and the sovereignty of the individual.

"People must decide freely, even if some will order them to shut up," he said.
