James Higham,You must have seen quite a lot of realities considering your venerable age of 90. I am full of admiration that you seem to enjoy the latest technologies such as the internet and blogging. And I hope that you might teach us a bit about the realities you have witnessed in your long and hopefully happy life. For starters, what do you think about the European Union and why?
Firstly, the picture is actually Soviet and not Russian. People in the former USSR make a huge difference between the two (and they talk about "former times" to distinguish the past).I'm surprised nobody has commented about the rewriting of history in the statement "Together since 1957". Ask the Romanians and Bulgarians how relevant that is to them as they join the gravy train. All we actually have is another bit of fiction from Winston Smith in Minitrue...
