By Coincidence?

Just as Austria was softening its stance toward Turkey, the UN finally discovered that Croatia was cooperating fully over the issue of war criminals.

The EU launched membership talks with Croatia on Tuesday, hours after U.N. war crimes prosecutor Carla Del Ponte delivered the green light by saying the Balkan nation was cooperating fully with her tribunal.

So by happy coincidence, Croatia and Turkey can both begin together. Austria will be happy.
