Lack of Accountability

Ken Clarke has made a speech complaining about Tony Blair’s style of government. Complaints include:

• Power has moved from Ministers to unelected advisers.
• Parliament has been sidelined.
• Parliament has failed to rise to this challenge to its authority.

Has this old Europhile failed to notice that wicked as Our Dear Leader is, his tyrannical urges are nothing compared to the Emasculation of the Mother of Parliaments that has been wrought at the hand of Brussels and its British collaborators. Well he has noticed of course, but for some reason he fails to mention this in his speech.
