The EU cares for the Poor

Allegedly the EU is worried about the world’s poor.

The EU chief said the Sept. 14-16 summit in New York was a "unique opportunity" for member states to "keep their promises to the developing world" by ensuring previous promises on fighting poverty -- the millennium goals -- are kept.

We all know the reality. Any help as long as it is extorted from the pockets of hapless taxpayers, but no end to protectionism or coddling of dictators.
