What Damage

An ostrich of the name Patrick Chamorel has a wonderfully Pollyana statement in the FT today. In a critique of an EU critic, he has this to say:

Mr Kremer's assessment of the EU lacks nuance and judgment. He asserts that "the damage inflicted by a premature, politically-inspired euro demonstrates the limitations of closer economic union", but what damage is he talking about?
It should be pointed out that Mr Chamorel lives in California and my therefore miss the news about Europe. The idea that the Euro has not damaged the Eurozone ranks along side beliefs that the Earth is flat. Its difficult to find such beliefs if you exclude those who are paid to have them. The rest of his piece is thoughtful and well written, but he loses it all in just 7 words.
