Finnish Resistance

It’s a good thing for the Finnish Elite that they never promised to consult the public over the treaty:
According to the poll, commissioned by Helsingin Sanomat and conducted by Suomen Gallup, nearly half of Finns would vote against the draft treaty if a referendum were held on the issue, while about a third would vote yes.
Unlike the Frantically back pedalling Polish Prime Minister, his counterpart in Helsinki was not rash enough to promise the people a vote. So if necessary, the treaty will be slipped through parliament, hopefully whilst no-one is watching.
