Anglo German Alliance

It seems that once the we have finally got rid of that useless cretin Schroder, Britain may actually have a new ally.
Angela Merkel, the leader of Germany's opposition conservatives, who is expected to win the German general election in September, said she had sympathy for the prime minister's tough negotiating stance.
She went on to hear the only piece of logic that has been spoken publicly on this issue, that was not driven by self interest.
If other EU countries wanted to abolish the rebate, they should have negotiated with Britain back in 2002, when the EU's agriculture budget was agreed up to 2013, she added.
Lets hope she remains this logical after she becomes Chancellor.
