The Guardian is getting excited that a member of the government has made a positive statement about the EU.

Mr Straw's foreign office has itself begun an effort - in the form of a series of useful factsheets - to counter some of the more absurd myths about the EU constitution.

All paid for by the long suffering taxpayer of course. But its ok because:

The rightwing, little England anti-European cause has been allowed to dominate debate for too long. It is high time the more optimistic and practical pro-European case was heard more loudly.
