What are the odds that Nikolas is a Greek, full of love for his neighbours.
I also suspect that he was the anonymous commentator bandying about the word fascist with such abandon.

Did you see Turkey's entry on the Eurovision song contest last night? I believe it was a political ploy to convince us here that they are becoming a modern country. You can download her song on her website if you missed it.

Believe it or not, Turkey has many semi clad female singers.
The Turkish entry, like all the others ( the majority) could no differentiate herself from the rest - songs, percussion sounds, jungle beat, taslteless yelling-.
What was egregious though was the phenotype of the Turkish singer. A Nordic blonde ? An effort by the Scyzoid Turks to project themselves as more European than a European.
Hi eu-serf - yes, Turkey has their belly dancers, now they do look good. I'm not against near naked dancers, it was just my reflection, partly tongue in cheek.

One of their posters writes: "it is very difficult to conceptually distinguish nationalists from eurosceptics".
That's a completely untrue statement. Many individualist and libertarians who oppose a strong nation state are Eurosceptics.
Many of us want to bring government closer to the people and expand individual liberties recognise that the EU goes against that principle.
The best way to guarantee free movement of people and free trade is to not to hand power to a higher level of government but to return it to the people.
Nationalists or Euroeskeptics better get their act together. The clock is ticking fast, and intellectual twaddle about guranteeing liberty , free trade, movement of people is the very poison they nee to be alerted to.
The abuse of the above "nice to have" is the death knell. When freedom becomes a common currency for violating and disregarding traditions, laws, culture,and rule of the unruly, when freedom of movement becomes an acronym for invasion and violation of civic and national laws, when free trade becomes the monopoly of the oligarchy, the essence of all those virtues has entered its terminal stage.
The Eurocrats will sink the EU members coralled in the cattle pen deeper and deeper in the quagmire.
By the time the job is finished there is going to be left nothing of EU unity but an amorphous continental mass wracked by divisions and endless social and civil entropism.
