Zero Sum Game

I go away for a couple of weeks, and yet when I return, Peter Mandelson is playing the same tune.

European Union trade chief Peter Mandelson promised flexibility in farm talks on Wednesday but told other negotiators Europe needed urgently to see benefits for its services and goods industries from a global trade pact.

Peter still hasn't learnt that trade is not a zero sum game. Eliminate the subsidies and tariffs and the greatest winners would be European Consumers.
