Mandy States the Obvious

It’s a New Labour core competence to state the bleeding obvious as if it were a new revelation. Its good to see that Peter Mandelson has not lost this ability since moving to Brussels.

The European Union's trade chief said Tuesday that shoppers were likely to face higher clothing prices if European governments failed to release Chinese textile shipments that have been blocked in a quota dispute.

Maybe he thinks that making such statements will cause us to forget whose fault this mess was in the first place.
