Swedish EU Budget Discussion

I don’t know what they think about the rebate, but Sweden’s Committee on EU Affairs seem to be potential allies in general.
The Committee on EU Affairs once again expressed its support for the Swedish position that the expenditure ceiling is still far too high and should be reduced to one per cent of GNI, and that adjustments must be made to Sweden’s large net contributions to the EU budget. Sweden advocates a redistribution of budget funds from the area of agricultural and structural policy to support for research and development.
Funny how net contributors always think the budget too big and recipients think it too small.
