Germans Call for Referendum

It will probably be too late to change anything but there are calls in Germany for a referendum. Following the governments refusal, an opposition MP is launching a legal challenge.
"The bundestag cannot give away to the EU more rights than it has itself. Such a far-reaching constitutional law can only be based on a referendum of the German people," he said yesterday in a statement, which he claimed had the backing of many other MPs.
So although politicians everywhere think they own the sovereignty that we lend them, its good to see that a few of them recognise the limits to their power. Good Luck to him
