Managing the Fish

If you were to choose a member country to locate an agency whose job was to manage fish stocks, which would it be? You would want a country with a good record of fish stock management, like Spain perhaps? Not everyone would agree. Shadow Europe Minister, Graham Brady:
"It is outrageous that the body that's supposed to police our fishing grounds is being given to Spain. Spain's fishermen are devastating our seas.
Whether Spain is the guilty party or not in all this I am not sure, but that was pretty much the same impression as I had of the Spanish Fishing Fleet. Mr Brady Continues:
"Following the revelation that Spain recently used illegal drift nets and discarded 65% of fish caught, it seems completely perverse that the Government is allowing fishing to be directed from Vigo (Spain)."
A little like putting Sudan at the head of human rights policy really isn’t it. Thanks to Linsay Jenkins for the Tip.
