The last remnants of national politics

Our continental cousins are lining up to give their verdict on the constitution and none of them seem to agree with Mr Blair. Spain’s foreign minister is the latest to add his view to the mix.

1. It is only a matter of time before we are swallowed up by a new European superstate.
2. The EU Constitution will be a death warrant for sovereignty of the 25 member states.
3. Asked if the treaty would strip parliaments like Westminster of the right to set their own laws he replied: “Absolutely.”

I am beginning to suspect that these Euro Federalists are trying to help the Eurosceptic cause in the UK. If Our Dear Leader loses the referendum by a wide margin that will give them all the excuse they need to get rid of us. After all the UK is a brake on their ambitions.
