Divide and Interfere
As part of the strategy of reducing Europe’s Nations to easily digestible bit sizes, the EU pushes the idea of regionalisation.
European week of regions and cities 2005 - working together for regional growth and jobs - is expected to attract more than 2,000 regional policy stakeholders to discuss the next generation of regional development programmes co-financed by the EU structural funds and instruments.By funding projects on a regional basis, they try to split local or regional authorities loyalties from their national governments. Can you imagine the opportunities for enjoying yourself at everyone else’s expense that shindigs represent. It is no wonder that the strongest support for the Great Satan in Brussels comes local government. Thanks to CEP for the tip.
