Can I Apply?

Apparently the EU is funding organisations that are critical of it. I was wondering whether I could start a Eurosceptic organisation and get Money from Brussels. But its not like the system does not have its critics.
The deputy head of the Liberals in the European Parliament, Silvana Koch-Mehrin, has said it is "scandalous" that EU money has been used to fund the anti-globalisation movement, Attac. Well I should think so too but not for the reasons she gives: "After all, Attac is a massive critic of the EU", said the liberal MEP, who has written to the Commission asking how the situation arose.
So sing praises to the almighty commission and ye shall be funded. I always thought that NGO meant Non Governmental Organisation. How come any of them get money from the state? Shouldn’t they just ban all funding of NGO’s by EU money? The fact that the funding was for an organisation that promotes poverty, suffering, corruption and disease in the developing world through its resistance to the one solution to these problems, shows how wrong it is for our money to be spent in that way. Were the cash to go to Global Growth or the Globalisation Institute, I would expect the average economic illiterate lefty to feel the same way.
