Half Full or Half Empty?

If Europhobes exaggerate, then Europhiles most certainly understate:
For all of us who do not have an inherent dislike for the idea of political cooperation between European countries, we are always caught in a tough situation. The EU may be a long way away from how we would like it to work, but it is better than many of the ways Europe has been set out in the past.
Of course if the EU is nothing more than political cooperation, we can probably do without most of the institutions and all of the Laws.
