European Democracy

What do you do if a general election could jeopardise the result of a referendum? Change the date of the election of course.
The Polish ruling Democratic Left Alliance (SLD) has pushed back an early election over fears that the centre-right eurosceptic opposition could block the Constitution if elected.
Good huh? It’s the opposite of what TB is doing but done for the same reason. Our Dear leader would also like to do the following but is not allowed.
Poland is now expected to hold a referendum on the Constitution at the same time as the election, which the SLD party said would guarantee the 50 percent turnout required for a referendum to be valid.
Its also likely to change the result of the referendum, but never mind its all in a good cause.
