Promises Promises

Wouldn’t it be terrible if the EU’s legislative juggernaut came to a halt for 18 months. The pain would be almost too much to bear, but the risk is real.
Europe risks getting bogged down as national capitals seek to play it safe ahead of looming national votes on a European constitution, the EU presidency has warned. “We are likely to find, on our way, governments which will invite us to put a certain number of initiatives on freeze.”
The news just continues to get better. Here’s to 18 months of inertia, Cheers.
