Membership Boosts Tourism

Apparently new members Czechia and Hungary are enjoying a boom in visitor numbers at least those coming from Belgium:
EU enlargement is already having a positive impact on the tourism and airline industry in Europe. That’s the case at least in Belgium, where the national airline and tour operator have seen a huge growth in business with the new member states who joined in 2004.
Call me cynical, but aren’t they probably all Eurocrats going on all expenses paid fact finding missions? Its either that or Belgians are forbidden from travelling outside of the EU. After all, everyone else discovered these two countries years back.
