Is the Tantrum Ending?

After weeks of polls showing that French resistance to the Constitution was hardening, there is a ray of hope for Chirac.
Two opinion polls at the weekend suggested opponents of the coming French referendum on Europe's constitutional treaty were losing ground for the first time in six weeks.
The message that this treaty is a French Vision for Europe seems to be getting through. After taking the opportunity to throw the toys out of the pram, maybe the left is having second thoughts about whether this treaty really is a Neo-Liberal Plot. We British Eurosceptics are going to win whatever happens. If the French vote no, the ensuing self flagellation and conflict will massively damage the process of integration. If they vote Yes, the campaign has given us plenty of ammunition to shoot down the treaty when it comes to our turn.
