Spain’s Choice of Friends

Apparently, Zapatero’s best buddy is receiving more than just conventional weapons from Spain.

During the first half of 2004 Spain sold to Chavez chemical warfare agents and radioactive materials to Venezuela worth €539.603 according to a report entitled "Spanish exports of defence materials and related products and technologies".

I’m sure that Chavez will only use these materials for purely defensive purposes. After all these dissidents pose real risks to the nation’s security. It was truly a bad day for Europe when the Spanish voted for this extremist.
